This policy explains how Otector B.V. handles personal data submitted through this website, demo requests and ordinary business communications. It covers our public marketing website only; separate agreements govern data processing within the Otector platform for customers.
Who we are
Otector B.V. is the controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us using the details at the end of this policy.
What data we collect
Demo request form data
When you request a demo, we collect your name, work email, company, your role, and anything you choose to write in the message field, together with your consent to be contacted.
Business contact data
When you email us or speak with us, we process the contact details and content you share so we can respond and maintain our business relationship.
Technical website data
Cloudflare provides our website hosting, content delivery and network security. In providing those services, Cloudflare may process technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and requested URL so that the site can be delivered and protected.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for visitors in and outside the European Union. Its cookieless browser beacon measures aggregate page views and website performance, including URL path, referring site, approximate country, browser and operating system, and Core Web Vitals. The beacon does not use cookies or local storage, fingerprint devices, or track individual visitors across websites. Cloudflare states that unsampled beacon data is retained for seven days and is then aggregated and sampled.
We rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving this website for this processing. Cloudflare acts as our processor. More information is available in our Cookie Policy, the Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation, and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics — only with your consent
If you accept analytics cookies on the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It collects the pages you view and the order you view them in, the site or campaign that referred you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device, browser and operating system, and a small number of actions we record deliberately: requesting a demo, clicking a demo call to action, following an outbound link, and starting an email to us. A cookie-based identifier is used to recognise your browser across those page views.
Nothing is requested from Google before you accept. If you decline, or simply do not answer, no Google Analytics script is loaded, no cookie is set and no data reaches Google from your visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page, which stops further measurement and clears the cookies.
Our legal basis is your consent. Google Ireland Limited acts as our processor under Google's data processing terms, with Google LLC and its affiliates in the United States as sub-processors; transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's supplementary measures. We have switched off Google Signals and advertising personalisation for this property, so the measurement is not used to build advertising audiences and no advertising network is contacted from this site. Legal basis
We rely on your consent for demo requests, marketing contact and analytics cookies, on our legitimate interest in running and securing our business and website, and on legal obligation where applicable, in line with the GDPR. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you did.
Sharing with service providers
We use a small number of processors, including Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting, content delivery, network security and cookieless website analytics, Google Ireland Limited for consent-based website analytics, and service providers supporting business email. They act on our instructions under appropriate agreements. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for our legitimate business record, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
